Suspension of Activities (update 3/11/2020)

PLEASE NOTE:

Thank you for your cooperation and we will update you with further information. As 3/12/2020 DCDC has suspended all other programs and volunteers from entering the jail. They have implemented this as part of their emergency plan in order to protect their population from outside exposure as much as possible. This is a proactive preventative measure to reduce the potential spread of COVID-19 in a closed environment filled with a vulnerable population.

FAQ:

Will this affect the orientation for DCDC?

Yes, this will as they will not let new orientees into the jail. Please email me personally if you chose to sign up for another date using that google doc sheet.

How long will this last?

This is an unknown process as the spread of CoVID-19 is still active in our community. We will keep you updated through Engage and our website: https://dojusticedouglasco.wixsite.com/dojustice

Does this affect other sites like DCYC or Omaha Home for Boys?

Please contact those representatives @Williams, Jacquelyn for information pertaining to DCYC. Please contact @Zenk, Madison C for information about OHB.

Will this affect recruitment activities on campus?

Unless UNMC cancels meetings, we do not plan to stop recruiting members. Please note that applications are still open for Board Positions. PLEASE APPLY.

Where is information kept up to date on activities status?

Please use Engage or our website will hold the most up to date information. On our website, this is located in the news section. You can also join our membership to keep up to date on our materials and STD information.

What is the update with the affiliation agreement?

This is still pending per UNMC and DCDC.
